Symptoms


You want to automatically open the first document in your search results grid when the search is complete or you want to switch off the automatic opening of documents after the search is complete.


Resolution


  • A ‘Viewer Options’ button appears on the bottom right of your status bar when in the retrieve module.

  • Click on the down arrow to display the ‘Open Viewer’ options.

  • Select the option that you want to set for your viewer on retrieval. The popup window will automatically close after you have selected an option.


  • The available options are:


  • Open Viewer Manually


The viewer will not be automatically opened after you search.


  • Open Viewer on Single Match


The viewer will be automatically opened if you have a single record returned in your search results.


  • Open Viewer on Multiple Match


The viewer will be automatically opened if you have multiple records returned in your search results.


  • Open Viewer on Any Match


The viewer will be automatically opened if you have any records returned in your search results i.e. single or multiple.
